@lee-lucas: I have never been clear about what separates folk and rock and country and pop genres. I have labeled my songs folk more out of ignorance than anything else. I think I need to do some definitional research. Thanks for your lovely comments, Lee. :-))
@lee-lucas: Thank you for listening and your lovely comment, Lee. You are too kind, but much appreciated!! :-)
Well I must say for an ageing rocker such as myself I can really enjoy listening to this sort of stuff more so now than what I ever could do years ago, and I very much appreciate it more for its fine quality and your voice certainly does have quality Dan my good friend without a doubt. I have always loved folk music but perhaps more of the Folk Rock style of Richard Thompson and the many artists who worked with him years back. To be quite honest a love song like this is perhaps a bit hard to really put into a folk genre, but its certainly got some kind of country folk side to it in its approach and direction I feel. Great song Dan mate and wonderful music, words and a great voice to project it. Very muhc liked this chap and very well done...
The way you phrase your voice in this section you very much got me thinking of Roy Orbison and I very much think this song would have suited his voice, not that your doing bad at all my freind you are doing just as well of a job here on this, and I often refer your voice to the Jim reeves of Frank Ifield style but I hear other tones in your expression on this fine song...
@daghope: You've made my day, Debra. :-)
